1. Company Creation- OX15
2. Company Code Creation
I) EC01(Copying from one to another)
II) OX02(Newly creating)
3. Fiscal year variant- OB29
>>>Year dependent : changes from year to year, we need to define the 12 periods manually
>>>Calendar year : Periods from Jan - Dec, No need to define the periods manually.
>>>Year independent: If not selected any one of the above options then it will be called as year independent, this type of fiscal year variant can be used for any year and periods need to be defined manually
4. Posting period Variant
I) creation- OBBO
II) OB52- Control postings as per period and account type (+ {masked type means for ALL}, A [Asset], S[G/L], D[Customer], K [Vendor], M[Material])
5. Posting Keys- OB41 (Not company code dependents, it useful to identify either Debit or Credit)
6. Field Status Variant- OBC4 (To control the Document Via a G/L a/c)
****End user screen fields are controlled by a GL a/c via a field status variant attached to it in its master data & also by Posting Keys
7. Document types- OBA7(Helps to differentiate a document into A,S,K,D,M)
8. Number Range- FBN1(Internal or External number range identified through Doc.type)
9. Chart of Accounts Creation- OB13
10. Account Groups for a COA- OBD4(Field Status of a G/L a/c Creation in FS00)
11. Credit control area creation- OB45
12. Assign all Global Parameters to Co.Code- OBY6
****(Company, Operational COA, Country COA, Credit Control Area, Field Status Variant, Fiscal year Variant, Posting period Variant)
13. Assign Tax Procedure to Country- OBBG
14. Retained earnings A/c- OB53
****(Create a balance sheet a/c in FS00 & assign here. It Carry forward the balance from P&L to B/s)
15. Tolerance Groups- OBA0, OBA3, OBA4
16. Parallel currency customization- OB22
Different types of currencies:
I) Transaction currency : currency given at the time of posting a document
II) Company code currency : Currency given in the co.code master data
III) GL currency : Currency assigned to a GL a/c. {Usually this will be company code currency but in some cases we will define other currencies too}
****Note : (a) If GL Currency = co.code currency then that Gl can be posted in a any currency while posting a transaction.
(b) If GL Currency <> co.code currency then that Gl can be posted in specific to GL currency
17. Three important T-codes in FI configuration
I) FBKP- Maintain Automatic postings & Special gl Accounts.
II) FBMP- Maintain Dunning procedure Configuration.
III) FBZP- Maintain APP(Automatic payment program) configuration.
18. With holding tax also known as TDS(Tax deducted at source). In SAP it is suggested to use Extended with holding tax than Standard WHT as it has additional features like multiple WH taxes, WHT on partial payment. we use WHT keys to define WHT types and these WHT keys helpful to produce reports to submit government authorities.
WHT : Tax collected on rent, sales of goods, interest, dividend, salaries paid and has to remit the deducted tax amount to government.

16. Parallel currency customization- OB22
Group and Hard currency of a co.code are updated here. This is a mandatory step to complete Asset account configuration and this is also required to post inter company posting, this was also helpful for multi-currency reporting.
I) Transaction currency : currency given at the time of posting a document
II) Company code currency : Currency given in the co.code master data
III) GL currency : Currency assigned to a GL a/c. {Usually this will be company code currency but in some cases we will define other currencies too}

19.Exchange rate configuration :
New GL configuration :
- New GL concept is an update to Special GL concept. In this approach along with leading ledger the non- leading ledger will be updated at the same time. 0L is a leading ledger and rest all other are non- leading ledgers.
- These non-leading ledgers are useful for Segment reporting, Tax purpose and etc.,
- A ledger group will be created automatically in the creation of non leading ledger(NLL).
- 3 currencies, one fiscal year variant, one posting period variant can be assigned to a NLL.
- With the help of NLL we can draw a Financial statement in a required format.
- This determines what fields in a ledger are updated when it receives posting from other application components.
- You can add custom fields (that you have alread y defined) to the ledger.
- This enables you to make general version settings for the ledger that depend on the fiscal year. In the versions, you specify whether actual data is recorded, whether manual planning is allowed, and whether planning integration with Controlling is activated.
